Purpose

Evaluates the observable signals a business publishes across clarity, entity consistency, authority, AI discoverability, trust, and local presence.

How it runs

InputsA public domain, and the pages, structured data, sitemap, robots, and machine declarations reachable from it.
Retrieval methodAIOInsights fetches the site the way an AI crawler would, starting from the home page and following the entity, sitemap, robots, and llms declarations. Only what is publicly served is read.
Observable signalsClarity of what the business is and does, Entity consistency across the site and the web, Authority and corroboration, AI discoverability and crawler access, Trust signals, Local presence, where it applies.
WeightingThe dimension weighting is published in the live methodology on AIOInsights and is applied identically to every domain. It is not tuned per customer. See the live methodology on AIOInsights.
Not applicable logicA signal that does not apply to a business, such as local presence for a business with no physical service area, is marked not applicable and excluded from the score rather than counted as a failure.
Failure statesAn unreachable site, a blocked crawler, or a timeout produces a stated failure and no score. The engine does not guess a number for a site it could not read.
Evidence shownEach finding points to the observed signal that produced it, so a business can see exactly why the result came out as it did.
ResultA deterministic Trust Visibility Score from 0 to 10, stamped with the engine version and the evaluation timestamp so it is reproducible.

Data retentionEvaluation inputs and results are handled under the AIOInsights privacy policy. AIOInsights privacy.
Security and abuse controlsFetches run through a request guard that blocks private and internal addresses, the engine never executes a site's code, and requests are rate limited.

Known limitations

  • A result is a point in time snapshot; the observable web and the AI systems reading it both change.
  • A strong score improves the odds of accurate representation. It is not a guarantee that any specific AI system will cite the business.

What this does not measure

It does not measure whether an AI system actually cited the business, and it does not read private, gated, or paywalled content.
